TOE WARMER
aka Calentadores para la Punta del Pie (?!)

I have cold toes.

I don't know whether it's a circulatory problem or what. One pair of socks. Two pairs of socks. Socks and slippers. Socks and shoes. It doesn't matter. At some point I end up with frozen toes, and it's darned uncomfortable. On Christmas a couple of years ago, one of my stocking stuffers was a package of "Grabber Mycoal Heat Treat Toe Warmer." Sounds great, right? Especially for those cold days when you're out shoveling snow. Well, I ended up never using them. I guess *Global Warming* is to blame for the lack of snow both this and last Winter. In any case, I've been juggling this little pack of toe warmers around for over a year, in and out of drawers and whatnot.

Well, tonight my toes got cold again, and I said "Gosh darn it, I'm going to try out those toe warmers!" Not quite like that, of course. You'd be surprised at how difficult it was to make that decision, actually. After all, I'd been saving these things for the *right time* for over a year. I didn't want to WASTE them. Anyway, in the end I decided to open them up. I was surprised that they start warming up as soon as they're exposed to air. Sounds unsafe somehow, but whatever. Each pad has an adhesive strip that attaches to your sock. I tried one on top of the toes on my right foot, and one under my toes on the left foot. I put my slippers on, and by the time I got back downstairs to sketch and watch American History X on TV, I'll be darned if my toes weren't warm.

I can't remember how much these things cost, but I think the single packs are only about a buck. So yeah. If you have chronic cold toes, try these things out. There are also hand warmers, foot warmers, mini warmers, body warmers, crotch warmers (ok, maybe not) and all other manner of warmers. Check out the official site HERE
